Michelle Henley
Physical Therapist &
Certified Hand Therapist
"I had no use of my left hand
because of nerve damage to my
forearm in a car wreck. I was also in
great pain. I have now gained much
use of my hand back, and I am fully
pain free. The progress has been
faster than I expected."

The Bartlesville area’s only Certified Hand
Therapist (C.H.T.) is right here at BPR: Michelle
Henley, P.T, C.H.T.  Michelle has been practicing
physical  therapy in Bartlesville since 1990 and
successfully treating patients with upper
extremity conditions (issues related to the arm or
hand) since 2001 when she received certification
from the Hand Therapy Certification Commission.
In 2009 she became ASTYM Certified.

A certified hand therapist is a physical therapist
who, through advanced study and board
certification, specializes in rehabilitating patients
with conditions affecting the hands and upper
extremity.

A hand therapist works with patients who may
have been affected by an accident or trauma
leaving them with wounds, scars, burns, injured
tendons or nerves, fractures, or even amputation
of the finger, hand or arm.

A hand therapist also treats patients who are
disabled from the affects of cumulative trauma
disorders – such as tennis elbow or carpal tunnel
syndrome. Many patients seeking the care of a
hand therapist also suffer from such chronic
problems as arthritis or a neurological condition.

If you have an upper extremity issue and feel like
you could benefit from the care of a Certified Hand
Therapist, tell your doctor you would like to see
Michelle at BPR Hand Specialists today.
